“LOVE LAVIDA” Proves Proklaim Isn’t Here to Follow the Rules

Deeksha Ravikumar
"Some artists follow the rules—Proklaim makes his own." With "LOVE LAVIDA," the Namibian rapper takes hip-hop to new territory, blending Caribbean, Latino, and West African rhythms into a track that refuses to be boxed in.

Released on February 12, 2025, the song was sparked by a reggaeton beat Proklaim discovered online. He wasn’t interested in making just another rap track—he wanted something with movement, something that could live beyond the usual boundaries of the genre. He took that beat, recorded at Pen Pushaz Studios, and let the music guide him. The finishing touches came from Wojtek Majewski at Audio Art Namibia, keeping the sound clean without losing its raw energy.

"Not all hip-hop is made for the streets. Some of it is made for the dance floor."

"LOVE LAVIDA" pulls you in the moment the beat drops. Moving with the rhythm, Proklaim's delivery is effortless. There is an ease to the way the track goes, almost like it came together in a spontaneous creative moment. The song doesn't demand movement. Instead, it comes naturally. Before you even realize it, you are already nodding along.
